Hi there, I'm Charlotte

I’m a project manager. Parent. Expat living in London, United Kingdom.

A few years back I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary assignment gradually became a new chapter of life abroad.

How It Began

Moving to United Kingdom wasn’t in the grand plan. Like many international relocations, it started with a job opportunity and soon grew into something far bigger.

The early months were demanding — unfamiliar systems, routines, and expectations. Routine tasks seemed more intricate than they ought to be.

The Adjustment Phase

There was culture shock, uncertainty, and plenty of learning by doing. But gradually routines took shape. We found places that suited us, met other families, and began building something that felt stable.

Why I Created Grain Harbor Pulse

Most online information was either corporate relocation guidance or superficial tourism content. What was missing was an honest, everyday family viewpoint.

This site aims to fill that gap — practical advice drawn from real life in United Kingdom.

What This Site Represents (And What It Doesn't)

This site IS:

  • Hands-on experience from living in United Kingdom
  • Centered on family life and daily realities
  • Updated whenever something truly changes

This site ISN'T:

  • Not a tourism authority resource
  • A platform for sponsored reviews
  • Not a generic travel blog

Looking Ahead

Our time in United Kingdom continues, and so does the learning process. As long as the information remains useful, I’ll keep documenting what we discover.

If you have questions about family life in London or anywhere in United Kingdom, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Best regards,

Charlotte
